Thx firefighter!!
Oh, that sheet Apex posted is what we as GM techs get as instructions for break-in.....seats the rings and rarely see oil consumption issues later. |

I think it's that many don't have experience with them and are recommending tuners they have experience with. They certainly have made quite the achievement .

Where is Kraftworks? Do they have a good rep for normal customers, the types that just want to have their DD tuned after some bolt-ons? I'm still looking around since I still don't have my break-in miles on my car yet.

Matt at FSP. He has his own shop to do any kind of install and fabrication work, plus he has his own dyno and if you go to the track in Bradenton to run your car he will be right there with you to help you out. He built my 9 second daily driven ZL1.

Thanks guys, I'll be looking into both of them. Man, this break-in period is really killing me.

Its broken in fine! Rip into it! I had mine on a dyno first week I had it and Matt tuned my trans first time I hit the track. 50,000 miles and a whole bunch of 9 second passes and its still running strong other than a slight trans issue!

Absolutely! Unless he wants oil consumption issues...then follow the owners manual. |

See nearly all oil consumption issues that come in for warranty work drove easy and followed the owners manual. Rings never get seated properly and have to tear down and re-ring (GM will NOT reimburse for new hone though, so only helps app. 1/2 the time unless re-honed to cut the glaze so new rings can seat). Your another example of real proper break-in results. |

My tuner broke the 10's barrier with bolts ons. Rob Downing at Fordspeed did the n20 tune on my 2001 SS SLP, and Jeremy has been my guy for the last 10 years. Everybody has fans and haters but when you're looking at the newest Vette magazine and hsi project is on the cover, you have to accept it. Now with a power adder... I've seen what he does with ZR1s. He can get down on a s/c.

Ive worked with a good amount on tuners in Florida. For example Torq, Redline, FSP, DPM etc.. And after all these years of ''trying'' to go fast with my 5th gens KraftWorks has been the only Shop/Tuner to go over and beyond my expectations and get the job done. They tune daily drivers all day. They have good experience with nasty fast street cars on the drag strip as well as daily driven street cars. They are in Delray.
