L99 burnout tips for the strip
So I'm thinking about heading to the track this weekend for the first time in my 2010 SS auto. Pretty new to the drag racing scene and wanted some tips for how to do a nice burnout with my auto trans. I know that the obvious first step would be to turn of TC, but should I use the competitive mode? Also, use manual mode would be my best best as well right? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Turn off Traction control and Stabilitrak, put it in put it in S/M mode, hold one foot on the break and punch it. If you don't want the car to shift to second use the paddle shifters first to select 1st. After your burnout shift it up to drive then back down to S mode and stage. Don't use the paddle shifters during your run let the transmission shift on its own in sport mode. Sport mode is different that manual mode so understand how that works.

TUrn TC off all the way. S mode 100%, no Manual tapshifts
Radials or drag radials don't need a huge burnout 4 or 5 seconds maybe, and drop tire pressure.. 25 20 maybe....if you get serious! GL man... have fun!

I have suggestions in here:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317537 I tap shift personally, my car would fly through the gears in regular mode otherwise.

If you are new to drag racing, skip the burnout.
Remember to drive around the water box. |

Sorry, I'm doing classes over the summer and got caught up with that and completely forgot about this post. I will definitely take all of these tips into account once I get to the track later on this summer. Had to postpone it due to school and work :( My birthday is coming up so I'm thinking that will be the perfect time to go!
