Just another idea for exhaust on SS (ground effects)

Did not like the looks of the old tips way back in the facia. Thought round tips looks bad in square hole.

old facia

And the trim was getting discolored.

Decided to get rid of the old mufflers but did not want just a straight pipe. Thought a glass pack would remove any trace of higher pitch sound and leave only deep rumble.

old tin cans

Replaced the tin cans with 12" long glass packs. Kept them short to give my exhaust guy enough room to put the tips on.

Sound is deep and throaty (is that a term?) no rasp no drone and cheap.

Tips and glass packs came to $132. Keep in mind the tips are stainless.

I wanted to try for a low rumble without breaking the bank. Just wanted to give y'all some other ideas.

Straight pipe with factory manifolds and cats sounds really good. It doesn't drone or sound raspy. If you want an even deeper sound try highflow cats and some magnaflows. Do you have any videos?
