Header Install Tips

Tomorrow I'm going to attempt to install my American Racing Headers onto the car. I have read and printed off the DIY. I am just wondering if anyone has tips, tricks, or something they would do differently if they were to do it again. I will be using jackstands and jacks since I dont have a lift. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Just make sure you get as much clearance as possible with your jack stands. I did mine the same way in my garage and it would have chopped an hour and a some back aches if I would of had an extra 2"-3" of clearance. Other than that it's extremely straightforward. Take your time as with any install!

The hardest part was getting the green clips undone at the back of each head. I did it by myself in my garage with a floor jack and jackstands. Use bungee cords or a rope system to help you pull them up while you are underneath the car unless you have a helper. You also don't need to undo the steering shaft.

I spent more time trying to get these clips undone then removing the stock manifold.

Don't forget the dipstick....
