he doesn't, and doesn't have to. to each their own. its not his car to worry about.
I personally think wrapping is pretty cool, and while color choice appreciation is subjective, it definitely can produce some beautiful looks and works as an excellent paint protector on new cars, and lets you change up the looks of your car at any time without permanent commitments to any colors, as its all easily reversed. its a youngster thing, some old folk's just wont get it, and that's ok...

I really like my Nightfall Gray Metallic so I wrapped the whole thing in Scotchguard 3M Pro Series clear film because it is my daily driver even in winter and I wanted to protect the paint as much as possible. invisible to the eye.

Really? How do you clean it? How well does it hold up? And what did it cost if you don't mind me asking? This sounds like an OCD'ers dream idea. And I'm that OCD..

A 3m clear bra for just the front costs like 700$ +. I am afraid to hear what doing the whole car would cost.

I'll confess to OCD when it comes to my vehicles. $2,400 whole car except rear valence: roof, doors & sides, hood, entire front fascia, rocker panels, quarter panels.
Had it on my '03 Cobra and it never yellowed in 5 year. when I peeled it off in '08 to sell it for my Rocker, the paint was pristine. Can't use abrasives or clay bar. I wash with warm water and soap and then use my old standby: Zaino Brothers: Z1, Z2, Z6 and Z8. A bit of a process and it needs to be at least 60 degrees and not too humid. Gives it a more gloss and a real slick finish. My test is to throw a soft cloth on the hood and it should just slide right off... |
