While it wouldn't be a deciding factor for me, I think it is important that this trunk be usable. For this car to be successful (and thus be around for a while!), it has to be useful for the "average" buyer, which is not most of us on the boards. Selling a lot of the base V-6 models helps lower overall costs, and puts the V-8 models in a better price bracket for those of us who care more about power/peformance than a trunk/usability.

Yup - and that left the trunk cargo volume at 7 cubic feet. Not great for hauling much (weeeelllll, maybe haulin' ass!), but I didn't get my GTO to carry much - a few groceries, etc.

As well as vibrate it to pieces. LOL Every car I see (or hear) with multiple subs in the trunk sound like they're gonna lose some screws to the vibration.

I had 4 10" subs (2 900 watt amps) in my 2000 S10 Xtreme. Luckily they didn't vibrate too much.

I could deal with 1 sub in the trunk (10" or so) for some added thump, but that's about it. My interest in subs went out with the Xtreme.

It's not the - I want to rattle the soda can in the cup holder of the car next to me at the stop light because my bass is so loud - factor for me. But, when I'm driving w/ the windows down doing 75/80 mph and the wind is whipping in my car, I want my music to be crystal clear. I've fallen out of that phase of having to thump my speakers at the stop lights years ago. Heck, if you do that now, your liable to get someone following you and before you know it, you'll get back to your car and find your stuff's gone! I just like my music crystal clear...and if I turn it up, loud AND crystal clear.

I too am hoping for a generous trunk space. This is the 2nd biggest reason i can't bring myself to buy a sport compact car even for a quick trips to town along windy roads. hell i don't think i could fit my briefcase into a Solstice.

I wouldn't be suprised to see a fold down seat at all. No info on it yet. They won't even really show the trunk space on the concept because of all the stuff they have in there to keep it running for the shows. Yeah...there must be a fold down seat for the production model.

I don't know, thats not very sportsy (a fold down seat). I'd love to see it, but i don't think that it would make it into a Camaro.

Hop in a bland minivan with 3 kids and a wife. Put the keys in the ignition and crank it up. Half the parkinglot hears your raging american muscle humming but cant tell where its coming from. Surely not that minivan with dual chrome tips poking out!
