Interesting this was the asked question and curious to see the answer. When the then new 6th gen was touring the country in the Finding New Roads tour I was able to talk to a couple of engineers (Tom Peters was there) and I specifically asked if a STB was needed and the answer was an emphatic no because of the increased stiffness of the new chassis and the strut towers were already reinforced.
On a similar note, the only reason for the STB on the 5th gen was to help with the MRC when the ZL1 was being developed. I've noticed zero difference in handling or cornering during spirited driving with it removed, but it does look cool (especially painted). I do think one that ties to the strut towers and cowl would offer some difference compared to a 2 pt, but that's my opinion. |

Why ask it again. Kinda like a wasted question.

Adding a FSB on some cars can increases the front roll stiffness. This changes the F&R ratios which could cause more understeer like using a stiffer swaybar. Seeing that the front has triangulation with the firewall and struts towers already, adding a FSB likely adds very little "stiffening" though an official answer with some technical details would be nice vs a simple "no" which I hope we get with the answer. I'm also sure during designing the existing reinforcements a few iterations where done to optimize the design. |

A STB can change the distribution of roll stiffness.
It can't change the amount. But it might change your perception. Norm
