Ideas for 1000rwhp street ls3?

Ok everyone im 21 years old stationed in KY good ol' Ft knox...so any help you offer is helping a soldier ok well here we go...I own a 2012 camaro ss/rs 45th anniversary camaro and time now its has the L99/A6 K&N CAI, SLP LT Headers mid pipes and LM1 axel backs...My next step I was thinking about was Stage 3 Cam, rods, and springs, with a tune of course...Then I know i need to work the underbody and stability of the chassis before i break it due to power anyhow...but what im curious of is...1. How many lbs of boost can i push if I were to fordge my entire lower end and get better heads, and 2. Does anyone know of a really great build or builder I could speak to about this project...keep in mind my motor head friends...im wanting to keep it at a 93oct level so i can still fill up at pump.

So heres the challenge: Send me a build (with parts list) to which i can build a 1000rwhp Ls3 that will run on pump gas and it all has to be safely built so it doesnt fall on its face after 6 months or so...also bore and stroke is great ideas but im pretty set at punchin out to a 416ci or 418ci.

Save your self the hassle of 12 million different opinions and call one of the top builders and ask what they recommend. Jannetty racing, lingenfelter, ADM, hennessy etc will all give you expert advice.

I have personally dealt with Ted Jannetty from JRE and have spent alot of money with him but the advice that man gives is probably the best you will ever hear, but I'm biased.

1000 hp, streetable, daily driver... simple formula.

Send Nelson Racing Engines about 30 grand to start with for one of these:



They have 800 and 900 hp streetable pump gas turbo motors. Another 100 hp may take another 10 grand or so.

And then pay a race shop about another 30 - 50 grand for everything else the car will need.

Not really a DIY project. It takes rediculous motor skills to build that kind of hp from a pump gas street driven small block. Many people could throw together something with huge boost or nitrous, but will probably take race gas and have a short fuse.

are you even talking about a motor swap from the L99 to a LS3? in your description you say you have a L99 A6 but you want a 1000RWHP LS3. If you plan to go that high HP you will need something stronger than a LS3

actually menendez the difference between the L99 and Ls3 are very minimal and really only needs a small conversion kit that removes the fuel saver ability which in terms converts the L99 into a Ls3

Small conversion? It's a little more than that to make a full ls3 conversion.

You talking about removing the dod. That's not a conversion. You still have all the other l99 parts.

That would get you no where near an engine to start with capable of 1000 hp.

To do that, better start with an LSX block, or a billet AL block. I think the best bet would be a small cube, high boost, LSX block based build. Billet would cost another arm and leg.

So if you're starting with an L99 or LS3..... for a 1000 hp.... first step would be to sell the L99/LS3. There is nothing there you would be using.

And why on earth do you need 1000 hp.....,have you ever driven 600hp?....?

1000rwhp is going to set you back at least 60k. That's a waste for a daily driver.

Thank you. That is where I was coming from. No way the stock LS3 or L99 can handle that amount of power. Your talking about 50-60k in motor work and nothing even close to a LS3/L99 motor after all is done.

Remove and replace motor then build off that.

i dont think you have thought this out. even if you manage to finance the motor build. you are only half way done. in a streetable car, you will never get more than 700 to the ground.
you need a full race car to ever feel the extra 25,000 it will cost for 1000 hp.

It may be cool to brag that you have a 1K rwhp car, but you will look stupid living in it after spending all that dough. It takes an ungodly amount of money and time to do it. Listen to your peers on here. I would suggest by adding a supercharger to what you already have. If you feel the need to get more than 600HP then have at it.
