Issue with window seal - known prob?

My 2010 didnt have this issue but its happening on both sides of my 2012. Is this a new/known issue? The rubber piece is creasing in. I am sure over time it will turn in to a leak.

I plan on taking to my dealer soon but was just curious.

Yes, common problem... While my 2010 hasn't done this I've seen several that have. Come to think of it they were all 2011s and up so maybe 2010's didn't have the issue? In any case...take it to your dealer and they'll replace it under warranty.

Mine has done it once. I fixed it with a credit card, and hasn't happened since.

Mine did that too! I also fixed it with a credit card. It's looks like it never happened. WILD

cybercoaster,

I would definitely recommend taking this to the dealership. Please let us know when you get this addressed.

I have the exact same issue on my 2011. Need to take it in and get it replaced. So far only happening on driver side.

Window Seal Issue

Had the same problem right off the lot. Started on passenger side, so I did not notice it at first. Seems to be very common on the 2012's. Dealer fixed it hasn't happened again.

Brandon,

Once again, you're Johnny-on-th-Spot. I had this happen to me once but like the others, I took care of it with a credit card. BUT if it might become a problem later on, I'd like to have it addressed before it would run out of warranty.

Thanks, (again)

Wade

My passenger side window had the same problem, dlr fixed it promplty, looks great. Now my driver side is doing the same thing. Will take it in when I take it out from winter storage.

I did see this same subject on another link somewhere on this forum.

BTW, to all of you close to end of warranty, for any reason or issue, not just this one: go to the dealer and have them look over the issue and write up a ticket on it for inspection at least. In that regard, whether they deal with it then or not, you will be covered under warranty even when you are past the formal 3/36 timeframe or 5/100k on powertrain.
