Has anyone here painted the ZL1 bodykit (rockers, front lip, diffuser,) to glossy black? I have always wanted to do it and seeing it on the Z28 makes me want to do it even more. I think it would look pretty good but not sure how the glossy black would work with the 10 spokes. Has anyone painted their gfx black? Specifically on a lighter colored car.

Spoked, I've seen some on here paint them body color, gloss black, and some in carbon fiber. I can't remember the threads, but from what I have seen they do look nice in gloss black.

seems like it would get killed with rock chips, I think they opted for grained black not body color to avoid the rock chips in the paint

seeing the rock damage on my splitter theres no way id paint it. maybe plasti dipp when it starts to fade

Do you guys think it would hold up from rock chips in gloss black if we would used a 3m clear bra...????

Im getting prices now on getting mine painted this fall with the same color scheme on the z/28 at the New York auto show...

All u will get out of doing the above is being called a POSSER or poseser. I love certain other paint schemes but would not do it. Call me a purist or worse but it's like putting zr1 stickers on your vette ich. Ok flame away at me after its your car so you can do anything

I totally agree with you, which is why i would never put a ZL1 front end on my SS/RS.

I think I reworded the title wrong i'm not looking to put the actual z28 bodykit on a zl1, im asking if anyone has had their zl1 bodykits painted previously, like the z28 comes with. i have seen zl1s bodykits painted to match but im asking for a different option lol.
