college station tx camaro scene

I am considering moving to college station to attend the university and i was wondering if there is any good tuners in the area and if there are a good amount of car lovers such as ourselves. i know i can find people like us almost in any city (especially texas cities) but i am from Austin Tx. so im just curious as to how the atmosphere will differ. i also just dont want it to be a lot of guys who think their truck is the fastest thing ever.

TAMU Camaros

There are actually a few Camaro owners here from College Station. I would tell you to start with the Texas A&M Sports Car Club. Check this thread and the member that started it....

Remember that this is Texas and there will always be guys that think their diesel trucks are the fastest thing on the road.

Good luck and Gig'em!

Thank you so much! I am going go living there and I just wanted to know what the community would be like. Also do you know of any good LS tuners in the area?

I'm in the Fort Hood area (at least when I'm home anyway) so I don't know of any specific tuners in the College Station area. I would talk with the guys there. I do know there are some in just about every mid/major city on I-35 though.

Don't take those diesel trucks for granted. I have a duramax that will smoke a stock SS.

In my area it's way more common to find a pimped diesel truck, than even a stock camaro. That said my 02 cummins runs 48lbs of boost and will fly low.
