I just traded a 45th anniv. 2SS/RS for a 2014. To each their own as they say, so people have a right to do what they want to their cars. I understand how you feel though and they don't have the carbon flash metallic regardless of decals and emblems. It did have cool stripes though.

So what is the "true" issue? I have a ZL1 spoiler and a 2014 SS Heat Extractor. I don't have ANY stripes because I don't like them.

do the vin numbers let you know if it's the real one or not?or the sticker, just wondering because i know on older cars like my chevelle, the vin had a code for ss. they stopped that in 69 on these but continued certain id on some others.

just wondering about special editions, my 97 did not have the stripes although the headrests had 30 pressed in them, i did also have the 35th with stripes but never saw a limited number on the car. in 96, a friend had a ss and it was numbered (plaque on the console)

I don't get it? You blame people who modify their car? I don't have a transformers edition but I added most of the emblems that would cost me over $5000 to buy that package.

True 45th? Is that the NEW GM or the OLD GM?

I agree with mods (I do not, however, feel placing a 45th badge on your car a mod though...), but these types of people are dressing their cars to be what they arent. I have seen where truck owners pull the 1500 badges off and affix 2500 in the spot. I am proud to drive my 45th, and guess I am somewhat offended when I see a poser pull up alongside me.....
