Anybody with CA I and aftermarket exhaust showing gainz?

Wondering if this combo would show gainz or if a tune is really needed.

Which aftermarket exhaust do you currently have? Generally you will see some power gains as is, but will require a tune to see the full potential.

The GM unit which is the same as the CAI unit says "Add an element of performance-oriented style to your Camaro engine with this performance Air Induction System Kit (model year 2016+). It has been designed for the SS Camaro customers in mind."

No promise of any HP or torque gains, so without a tune I'm saying that ANY cold air intake is a waste for anything other than looks.

The assumption is that it will come with a tune to improve power

If they don't advertise gains, the assumption should be that there aren't any..

And, I might add that even some advertised "Gains" aren't what they seem.

I guess I'm looking for actual dyno results of any combo guys are running. Example: Roto-fab and Borla catback

I will relay test results as we receive them from customers and tuners!

We have seen gains of 12 hp on an otherwise stock M6 Camaro SS, 40+ hp over stock on multiple supercharged builds, and a very interesting comparison in which a forum member gained 38 hp after adding the Roto-fab CAI and E85 tune to his car.

Thanks for your interest, and I will be on the lookout for more dyno numbers. Have a great weekend!

Michael

I actually already have your oiled CAI. Not installed yet as I only have a few hundred miles on the car. Do you have any data supporting A8?

Thank you

I was under the impression that the GM unit is being made by CAI?

I last heard December on the release of the GM CAI.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

We are currently seeking applicable dyno numbers on an A8 car. I will keep you posted on our findings.

Thanks for choosing the Roto-fab CAI. I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the quality and performance after the install!
