I'm not entirely sure why some are worried about the understeer. Half of those who buy this car will never push it hard enough to induce understeer.

I think that's why it was a great decision by GM to do it. I personally have a problem with it because I track my cars, but I'm in the minority. I do hope they make the C8 Z06 the track version this time like they did in the sixth generation or at least make a "1le" version of the C8.

Probably less than 1% of Corvette owners actually track their cars. Not a single person who put a deposit down will pull it once reading the review. Not ... a ... single ... one. |

I"m waiting till the second model year and the Z06 to come out before I even start thinking about trading one of my rides for one of these things.

The Camaro on the other hand is a younger guys car and so a ZL1 1LE version makes more sense. Maybe that will change with the C8, but typically that is not the Corvette crowd. It is also the reason why Corvette's are so cheap to insure.

You know, I really didn't realize just how bad the cooling was on the C7Z06 until I watched a couple of my friends track them. $10-12k in cooling mods later, problem is finally resolved. That is really the only thing that deterred me from buying a 'Vette over the 1LE.
