Nice!!! The ERL short block you bought, are you reusing your top end stuff and if so what do you have?

I can understand the whole hood removal and realignment issue, glad you were able to remove the block without having to deal with that.

I have decided to keep the old LS7 and put it in a bag for safe keeping. $1500 core for something that has the VIN # printed on it is a small price to pay. The ERL engine I purchased is an LS2 that has been resleeved to 4.125" bore with an LS7 crank. Supposedly, this was made for my situation. I may have to plug the dipstick hole if it is open. I haven't taken the new motor out of the packaging yet.

It's in and running. Only a base tune for now. The oil pressure is great and it sounds good. New "upgrades" are ARH 1 7/8" headers, ATI balancer, FIC 60# injectors, & MSD Atomic air force upper intake. I stayed with the RPM B3 cam & Advanced Induction cylinder heads.

Fantastic. I was considering that MSD manifold, still looks a little odd to me.
Can't wait to see your numbers.

looks odd I agree...but has bettered the Fast LSX manifold by 10ish hp in every test I see. Fits great and you can use the stock fuel rails easily. The piece is well done as I am very critical of details. The vacuum lines are just like stock position & diameter. It literally is "plug & play" with zero fabrication or hassles.

Looks great. Love the intake. Will the strut brace still bolt on?
