It gone! Gone, gone, gone.......

As luck would have it, i had family move in with us for a while. My house can accommodate 5 cars or so but when family moved in plus getting my daughter a spark. Room was hard to find so a few cars were being parks in areas just to fit all the cars here. We have no accsess for cars to the back yard. So i had to make the decision to sell my Luv. Thats not a type o or a reference to something thats dear to my heart. (like beer). Its an actuall Chevy Luv truck that i had. Cool little truck and for those who like a little nostalgia. Had to sell it but the $ goes for a new set of tire so it didn't leave in vain. Still going to miss it though. Anyone else lose a.car or truck that was not considered great....except to you?

Mazda made the ford Courier correct? Was the LUV an Isuzu?

Yeah, it did. Back in 1980, my dad bought both a Mazda B2000 SE-5...was identical to the Courier. At the time, I thought Mazda was just re-branding the courier...didn't realize it was the other way around.

What did you sell it for? I've been looking for one of these small old trucks for a long time. If they are in decent shape people ask way more than I'm willing to spend. At the prices I want to pay I'd be lucky if there were floorboards and less than 250,000 mi.

4 years ago I wrecked my 1991 Grand Am. It was butt ugly. Body was rough, rusty, paint coming off, doors squeaked when I opened them, knobs were missing off of the cranks to roll windows down, doors leaked in the rain, picked it up for under a grand and drove it for 4 years before I wrecked it. For all the above reasons I really loved that car. I thought of all those things as giving it character.

I put an old GM 3.8L V-6 in one of those back in the late 70s. It was a fun truck.

I DD a robin egg blue 76 or 78 Chevy Luv in the early 90s while I built a street machine. That thing was unstoppable!

Yeah I'm going to miss that little truck. It would have been a cool project in the future. This truck had a massive 80HP under the hood too. That and the 3 speed automatic tranny was more than enough to handle the Mustangs and Camaros rolling around here.

P.S.
I only sold it for a few hundred bucs to some 18-20year old kid.

My 91 Toyota Pickup... 2.4L 4cyl 5sp standard cab... a/c, and that was it! I loved that truck! Drove it for 9 years, and ~91k miles... nothing but oil changes and a set of brake pads. My wife hated the truck... but it was just a great commuter and get stuff for the house vehicle!

When they switched over to Tacoma, prices went thru the roof...
