Here's some leaked official press pics
http://www.g8power.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24 Sorry I haven't been around these parts but the G8 has my attention recently since it's coming out soon and I'm considering a sedan instead of a coupe. |

I like it. GM's got another winner.
The only thing I'd change...the clear tail lights. Cheesy and cheap looking IMO. They look like a 'Pep Boys' "boy racer" add-on. |

Based on the pictures, it has a bland cookie cutter look to it that just looks plain boring. This design would have looked great in 1999 or 2000, but looks dated for 2007-08. Looks like a bloated E46 3 series BMW. Maybe it'll look better in person. I don't know.

Chicago Auto Show: 2008 Pontiac G8 Pontiac is bringing back a 4-door relative based on the Holden Commodore SS, but rather than use the GTO badge, it calls this sedan the G8. |

I have to agree that GM is going in the right direction. They're finally taking the business seriously and building products consumers want, not what works best for the bottom line and the bottom line only. Beyond that they're tapping into their over seas brands potential in that they make high quality cars that offer both excellent performance and value.
On topic: I'm ecstatic the car will be here in August, which as pointed out already, is quick turn around time. The G8 deserves to succeed and here is hoping that it will. In the mean time I'm going to search for some road tests of the Commodore so we can get a feel for what we can expect. |

But I dont like it for here at home. I think I'm just used to seeing Texas sized trucks and suvs. Seems like it would be out of place. They had this commercial in Australia for the ute, it was driving down a deserted road and all these women were running after it like it was the last man on earth. Am I the only one that sees the humor in that? |

I would buy one... no question about it. Well, I would if i were not already saving for the Camaro anyway. I really like the new direction GM is taking Pontiac.
