I mean, I've got mods into my car and I only use 93. Maybe it helps, maybe not, I'm not really sure. But even my 2LT with the RS package can pull 30mpg average given good conditions at about 78-80mph

I have a 2014 manual with an intake and pullies, I use 91 and set my cruise at 67.
If you are getting bad gas milage first I would verify it isn't your dic then id take it to a shop and see what's going on.

I was reading without realizing we were talking V6. I was taking notes so I could bump my mileage up. I can squeeze out 24 mpg in my SS. Two weeks ago we took a trip in the Vet and got 30mpg.

There's nothing wrong with my dic!
I'll of course verify by doing the math when I gas up but I put 38,xxx miles on my 2011 & averaged 21.6. I was doing between 80-90 all the time (I have radar protection) but still I would coast whenever possible and I didn't floor it to get up to speed (usually).
I do enjoy winding it out every now and then but it's not like I'm driving like I stole it.
I plan to keep this one under 80 on the highway & see if that helps.

I get pretty much advertised. 17 MPG city, and I step on it a lot since I'm always running late
I get 30-35 freeway and I still step on it, average about 80 with short bursts when I can

Yes, keep it under 80. I could get better but I still like cruising at a moderate speed so I stick around 78. Above 80 is like a wall of gas mileage destruction.

Funny, the motor doesn't seem to think so, it creeps up over 80 easy if you're not watching it.

I just got back from a wonderful week in the Outer Banks of NC and got an average of 28 MPG.....this was mostly cruising at 65-70 MPH because of serious LEO presence in the South. I have a 6 speed stick and was running Hi-test gas using my cruise control. Gonna get a CAI in a few days and am looking forward to seeing how much more it increases.

I regularly travel to Hatteras Island from MD, and that's the mileage I typically get for that trip...we'll see it it keeps up in about a week. Yeah - definitely have to watch your speed on I64 and sometimes on NC168...
