About 12k and the rears were close to the wear bar never doing burnouts just occasionally loosing traction between gears but I had a cam at 5k with CAI and headers. I went to Toyo Proxes 4+ a all season performance radial with a wear rating over 500 compared to Pirelli's being 220.....
SO the tire I have says yes it should make 50k with that rating but hey I occasionally loose traction, at least it feels better in rain but hydroplaning on big wide rear tires is something you either have a feel for or your a accident waiting to happen. Rutted highways suck, snow sucks and especially ice. For dragging I would use drag radials though the Toyo tires have the same grip/ speed rating almost exactly as the Pirelli tires..... The feel though is like the Pirellis for dry driving and I like them and their price compared and especially the wear rating. I think the Z-28 has tires with a 70 wear rating; meaning its tires wear out PDQ.....but are so sticky they can fling a rock 1/4 mile most likely..LOL

People can't read or just don't understand. P zero, and p zero Nero tires are two different tires. One a max performance summer tire the other a uhp all season tire. Quit comparing them like they are the same tire.

They are the RS package tire for the Camaro. And yes the neros are different but wear rating, traction rating, speed rating, so many things are to be considered on any tire choice and there are different kinds of Neros..... SO looking at the wear rating they should be just a little better than stock SS p zero tire with a wear rating of 280 not 220 of what ever the rating is for the kind you choose be it GT or run flats or what have you....

So if you only get 20,000 out of a tire rated at 45,000 does the tire company. Prorate the tires out?

Quote:
Without the RS package the LTs came with 19" all-season tires. LS came with 18" wheels. None of the 5th gens ever came with run-flats. Those tires are twice as expensive as standard tires. And yes, they are noted on the sidewalls.

Not for wear, only for defects. Then they a prorated by tread depth, not miles. Driving style and conditions can wear tires faster or slower than average.

Right on! My first set (rears) lasted barely 10,000 and they were almost completely bald. 2nd set 35,000. 3rd set
nearly 50,000. Yeh I smoked the sh%# outta the first set.
