Best exhaust option

Hey guys, was wondering what I can do to get a little more sound out of the exhaust while maintaining warranty, still having control of the dual mode, and still being able to pass inspection. I do not want headers.. thanks guys

Borla S-type. Not too loud until you want it to be, good quality and sounds awesome. You will retain all exhaust controls. I have it on mine. Before installing, I had the entire system ceramic coated. Helps with heat and looks great.

Looks like yes, just the mufflers. I would get the ATAK for the loudest sound possible. Part number 11925.

Thank you Elvis66. It is the Borla s-type full catback #140-726 for the ZL1. Not sure if an SS takes a different kit. The system comes bare stainless steel. I had the catback and factory cats ceramic coated as well to match. The cat back is ceramic coated in two different colors. Silver for the front section/factory cats and black for the rear section. I did black to make the mufflers and tailpipes less obvious and the black does not require to be baked on. Baking the tail pipe sections would damage the return springs that operate the exhaust valves. The actuators open the valves but the spring to close them is part of the tailpipe.

I have the s-type (#11924). love the sound, louder than stock but only obnoxious when your really on it. Maintains NPP adjustability too. Pricey, but worth every penny.

For NPP get Flowmaster if you like a deep sound and Borla if you like a throaty sound. The other systems don’t seem to have a very effective quiet mode.

just remove the 2nd set of cat's it will sound alot louder. that wont void your warranty and unless your in cali i doubt anyone will ever look or say anything. /shrug best change in sound you can do for the cheapest price.

Any axle back will give you more sound. My V6 was way too quiet so I just installed the MBRP axle back. Just right now and it was so easy to install. It's your choice which one to go with. Read the posts and listen to the videos.

Only if it's not installed correctly.
