Quick update...the driveshaft is rubbing the tank shield. It clears sitting still but there must still be enough movement under load. I really don't want to run without that shield protecting the fuel tank so I'm thinking about tossing out the offset differential bushings and just going with a set of BMR to regain some clearance. Any thoughts on that option?

That will gain you some clearance.

Another thing you have going for you is the driveshaft is aluminum and wont get damaged rubbing the heat shield temporarily like a CF would. You have room to experiment. They do make adhesive back heat shielding that's supposed to be pretty good. That'll save you a little room.

Ah did you not see what a few miles and parking brake cables did to mine from gulfcoast driveshaft video? But I pulled all my heat shields and did the adhesive backed heat shielding on my tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

BMR bushings should be here today and may even get installed this weekend.

Even temporarily for a few miles it was damaged? crazy. How many miles were you driving on that? I was thinking that you'd be able to hear it and fix pretty much right away. CF wouldnt let you rub on it at all before tearing into the carbon.

Wasn’t more than a mile or so and it left a light groove. He was able to polish it out though.

Wow! I wouldnt expect that. Thanks for letting me know. Cant imagine the damage it couldve caused the Cf. Probably unrepairable.

BMR bushings installed. We'll see how it goes but my initial impression is that they are much stiffer material than the offset bushings and will hopefully keep the driveshaft from hitting under load. No real difference in NVH and, if anything, the additional driveshaft angle reduced vibration.
