Roof Option Question

Hi, new here. Looking at http://www.kerbeck.com/kerbeck/kerbe...te_Information

The C2Z visible carbon fiber roof option, are they basically charging 1995.00 to NOT paint the roof panel ? And you have to move up to 2LT, although I would probably do that anyway. Isn't the painted panel roof also the same carbon fiber underneath ? Thanks, just trying to figure out these options.

You are paying for the clear coat. Exposed carbon fiber will age quickly. Most clear coats will help reduce the rapidity of the aging. The clear coat Corvette uses is reportedly much more effective at holding off the effects of UV rays. I have read that Chevrolet pays $50,000 for a gallon; don't know if that price is credible but it is what I have read.

So yes, one is paying $1995 to not have the roof painted.

A was also wondering if you opt for clear roof do you get the standard roof to or is it one or the other?
