Hello Becky,
I have good reason to believe that an allocation will be "stapled" to my order (RCCVS0) this week on the 18th... or the 25th. Are you saying I should wait until the following Tuesday (7/23 or 7/30) to check my order status?

Changes that occur on Tuesday (such as orders matching allocation being pulled) will go into the server and show up tomorrow morning. This is also true for the daily staus changes, what happens one day shows up the next after the nightly update.

??...it certainly looks like I am confused. Perhaps my misunderstanding is with the terminology.

I thought the July "consensus" will be on the 18th (Thurs) and the second july consensus will be on the 25th. Aren't those the days that dealers are given their allocations for that consensus? Therefore, wouldn't I have to wait until after those dates to see any movement? Also, certainly the dealership has to have time to respond after being given allocation numbers.

I think it should be 2000 status by now.. this is also w/ the FAY option that is constrained.

i have the carbon fiber panel..
dont think take longer till maybe they go to order parks for it.. thats at 3000

everyone been sitting at their status code for awhile.. waiting for production to get closer i guess..
when i see the first 3400 that when im get excited again..
even if moves to 3000 we all stuck till they start production.. which GM should tell us when by end of month i would think ..

The dealers have had their July consensus allocation numbers for several days (they usually get the numbers on a Thursday and the following Tuesday is the consensus). I see a lot of posts about two Corvette July consensuses but none from people who know, so I expect to see one for July and that one occurred today. That will mean over 3000 dealer orders AND 500 Premium Editions will be scheduled to be built starting Aug. 5 (if my guess is correct) and going into early to middle September.

A consensus takes three passes: in the first dealer orders are matched against allocations then in the second pass dealers are given the option of changing an order that has a constraint then in the third pass dealer allocations not used by a dealer or w/ a constraint not changed (therefore not used) are reassigned to other dealers. So you see a consensus is very simple, very easily done, and never subject to any surprises, none whatsoever. In somebody's dream.

And this is done for all the vehicle lines for which the dealer has allocation.

None of this is secret procedure information. It is well known to those dealership employees responsible for ordering. I have learned about the procedure because I have read too many posts about doing a retail delivery order. If the procedure has changed I am certain someone will correct me and then I will have another piece of info to digest!
