Not a lot of warning for stuff like this...

I think that too, however that video was more impressive because of the sonic boom.

I hate VVS though...wish people could learn how to hold the phone correctly for video.

I just heard the same thing! Freakin awesome, although I would no longer have clean pants on. Those sonic booms would have gotten me for sure!

Ah, I didn't realize this was not the one that was expected. The one we are expecting hasn't happened yet That's comforting....

A Russian health official says nearly 1,000 people have sought help for injuries after a meteor streaked through the sky and exploded Friday over Russia's Ural Mountains with the power of an atomic bomb.
The sonic blast from the hurtling space rock shattered countless windows and deeply frightened thousands, with some elderly women declaring the world was coming to an end.
The meteor -- estimated to be about 10 tons -- entered the Earth's atmosphere at a hypersonic speed of at least 33,000 mph and shattered about 18-32 miles above the ground, the Russian Academy of Sciences said in a statement. It released the energy of several kilotons above the Chelyabinsk region, the academy said.

yeah, that one was a lot bigger and thankfully for the Russians, out in the middle of nowhere. If something Tunguska sized had happened here, we wouldn't be seeing videos of it till after they cleaned through the wreckage

Apparently this meteor was the size of a Dining room table.......
The Meteor that is suppose to graze Planet Earth @ 17K miles away within 24 hours is the size of a Cruise Ship. Time to pull out the fifth of Hennessy X.O. and grab me a Cohiba XV660.
