Pirelli PZero Trofeo R
front: P305/30ZR19
rear: P305/30ZR19

Can anyone make a recommendation for a good 4 season tire with the same dimensions/profile as the trofeos???

Yes I will drive it in the winter avoiding the snow if possible. Not a snow tire but a 4 season performance tire. Back in 2004 I used Michelin Pilot Sports in the winter and they seemed fine.

I want to actually not trailer and just drive up to the glen once in a while and don't want to burn expensive trofeos on touring miles.

a less expensive tire woud be great too...Khumo?

any info appreciated...

I searched on TireRack.com and found no all season 305/30-19 tires. They were all summer performance or competition tires.

Why do you need 305s if all ur doing is driving on street? Sounds like u will have commitd rims just get some 275-285s and call it a day.

buy a set of wheels for winter - probably stock Camaro and put snow tires on it
buy another set of wheels for daily driving (could probably get another set of z/28 wheels and add it to the car purchase) and put on summer perf tires

Thanks for the responses but I'm not looking for snow tires just touring tires that cost less than trofeos, have maybe 70% the performance or trofeos with much longer treadware and can operate "reasonably safely" down to zero degrees...I live in ny. Also I want it to look correct so preferably the same size/profile tire.

If you want to use the stock wheels, you will not find an all season nor snow tire which fits the rear with 11.5".

The best would be to get a spare set of wheels and run the Conti Extreme Contact DWS or the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3

you could use the Michelin PSS in 305/30, but I wouldn't personally drive them near zero degrees

You need to use a 26.2 OD tire. You can use a 265/35R19 as a snow tire if it carries the correct air pressure and load rating. What do you think they do all over europe ....... 4 winter tires ? All Season tires are NOT snow tires and never should seriously be used that way. If you buy a $80,000 car you should probably use the correct tires for it. You can vary OD 3% .

read the reviews..a guy even mentions snow and reviews all over the net say very good in the rain...so these could be track rains too.

Continental Extreme Contact DWS 295/30/19 $257 each at tire rack
0.2 inches shorter and 0.4 inches narrower than stock

that is pretty damn close and something you would almost never notice

As someone noted on another thread the Michelin Pilot Sports might be a good daily driver and I found this tip about Costco from a Rennlist post 4/12:

"Finally bit the bullet and bought a set of the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports, had them installed last Tuesday. I bought them through Costco as the Price installed (about $1,170) was basically the same as several of the local shops and Tirerack with shipping and local install, but Costco included a road hazard warranty and nitrogen fill which would have been another $150-$200 with the other sources ( they also include free rotation but that doesn't do much good on a 996 with staggered sizes). I have to go back for another balancing as I have a slight shimmy between 75 and 90"
