Watch out for the trial length of XM radio.
Just noticed today that the XM radio trial in my 2016 was only for three months. It is supposed to be a 12 month trial.
XM customer care blamed my dealership for not setting it up correctly, but even they said it was only a three month trial, until I told them to check the Technology section of http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro-sports-car.html# Sounds a little like the blame game going on. Anyways they told me the only way to fix it would be for me to contact them again on the last day of my three month trial and they will extend it the other nine months. Overall I am extremely disappointed in their customer service, but I do enjoy having XM in my car, so I guess Ill just deal with it. But just a warning to all of you, look and see how long your trial is set up for.

NICE CATCH!!! Thank you for the update, I will tell them exactly that when my trial is almost up unless mine was setup to be 12 months.

Just called XM after seeing I had 3 mo's trial and they told me to call the dealership but the dealership actually told me to call XM haha. After telling that to XM the guy I was talking to talked with his supervisor and they transferred me off to someone who can help. After some brief holds (talking with a supervisor) and them telling me to talk with my dealership about 20 times... They finally came back and said to call them in February BEFORE my trial expires and they will extend it then.
Which to be honest, we shall see when the time comes... if they will do it or not. |

Wow, forgot about the 12 months, I am thinking it is only for 3 months! Guess I will try calling tomorrow to see if I can get anywhere. Thanks for heads up!

I thought about that as well. Some GM's come with 3 months. The Camaro is listed at 12 months of Premium (All Access) service.
I printed off the page and am keeping it to make sure the dealer sets it up properly.

I don't think it has to do with anything the dealer does, once they active the Chevy package, it activates Onstar and XM, probably goes by the radio ID number...mine says 3 months as well, I am calling XM tomorrow.

I opened a case with GM Customer Service in the hopes of making them aware so they can address for everyone who has one of these cars.......They have a link to this thread to see I am not the only one.
I am not expecting quick results...... If I hear a response, i'll let the forum know

My dealer is looking into as well...had an argument with XM yesterday with someone that barely spoke English! I called my dealer yesterday, they already told me that I am getting 12 months, they just need to figure out how to do it, but one way or another I am getting it for 12 months!

Same problem here. They told me that the dealership had to call them at the same number they call to activate the radio. We'll see. If not the 12 months then they can forget about my home receiver and the one ine our Equinox as well as my extending beyond the 3 months.
