Question on the new 6th gen camaro.
I know this may be a weird question to ask because I know it's 2015 but I'm old school and I was wondering, does the new 6th gen camaro comes with a couple player or is it strictly mp3?

No cd player from what I can see. A lot of cars these days don't have them.

And a USB port so you can just load everything on a flash drive if you wanted. Not sure how large of a size it can read, otherwise I would suggest loading your entire music library on an external hard drive lol

Thats what I currently do with my 5th gen. Got over 3k songs on a flash drive, the system handles it fine, tho it does take a wile to load up when first plugged into the system, but after it indexes the drive for the 1st time its fine, it still plays wile indexing you just cant pick witch song until its completely indexed.

Get yourself a headphone to USB audio cable for a couple bucks and dust off your old portable CD player..... that's exactly what I'm doing.
Far too lazy to load all 400 of my CDs into my phone. I'll just throw one of either of my CD cases into the car like I do now and did in the old days lol! See, everything old is new again! |

Has to be FAT16, FAT32 or exFAT formatted thumb drive. Having to never swap out a CD again? Priceless! I can hold my whole CD library on a 64GB USB stick. A 64GB stick can hold about 8000 files that are 8MB in size (which are big for most MP3s which are usually around 4-6MB). http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001492.htm --kC |

I do the USB drive thing...I'd have to build an extra room on my house for CD's. |

I do this in addition to CD's. Just for convienece sake...I have a 2TB drive filled with songs, most are the higher quality MP3 format, so they take up more space. But well worth it, as regular MP3's sound like poo poo on a nice system.

I rip music in at a high custom bitrate.. I had lots of trouble "indexing" my USB drive in my 2010, it would take forever so I had to break them down to a rotation. The 2015 blows through it in record time.. One more nice thing about updating to the '15. Along that same line.. TPMS relearn used to take about 10 to 15 seconds per wheel on the '10. The '15 locks in immediately. Hopefully the processors in the '16 are even faster.. |
