Question 2015 C7 1LT

Hi Guys,

I just purchased the car and wanted to know what the possibilities are for me to upgrade the factory console to the new 2016+ console w/ navi. Also want to add a HUD. I spoke to the dealer and they said they don't install HUD or navi to the system. Want to know if anyone has done this or knows where I can get it added in the NJ/NY/CT or even any state in the east cost.

Thanks,
Vai

HUD would be major project that would also be a major expense. Adding Navigation would be easy. See link below.

I took it a step further and upgraded to get Apple CarPlay (2016+) which was a bit more extensive (had to replace Radio Tuner & USB port in addition to HMI module).

Thank for the link. This seems to be cheaper than the one I found on this site.
https://www.infotainment.com/ I def want to get the carplay added and don't mind doing the extra work to get it in.

HUD would be expensive. New top dash, HUD projector, and new windshield. HUD requires special windshield and starting with C7 OEM and replacement units are stamped with "HUD". Check out corvetteforum.com. Lots of horror stories with quality when replacing with non OEM glass.

If you're going to get Nav and CarPlay, this is the package you need:

If you just upgrade to get CarPlay (without factory Nav) and just use Apple Maps as your Navigation (what I did), then this is what you'll need:

I did all the work myself; the only tough part is swapping-out the Radio Tuner. Good luck!!
