www.chevrolet.com then click shopping tools then LIVE CHAT. (*How may we help you?) section click the "Checking my status of my order" and then wait for the agent. When the agent shows up, type in your order code. and he/she will tell you what's up. Ask for the specific CODE as they won't tell you. Like 1100-3300-3400 etc. So you KNOW what step it is as codes are fixed.
I wrote how I contact Chevy up there, hope that helps. Edited my post with it but here it is: G0115933. I also called my dealership after (Huffiness Chevrolet in Lewisville, TX), invoice has NOT been created just yet. While my vehicle is completed, it's waiting for quality check. Also, my dealership said that for 2016's the vin decoding is different. So he did not want to speculate on the production and went to do some research. I'll update the results of his research when he gets back to me, which makes sense as no way in hell Chevy already made 120k camaros. lol |

Thank you, I agree. Both the dealership, myself and a friend got stomped a bit on the VIN decoding. Once I know more info, I will definitely be posting it up here. Maybe, once I do get an invoice (vehicle produced however not gone through quality check yet thus don't have the invoice) hopefully it'll shed some light into the decoding factor.

G = 2016
0 = LGR Assembly Plant The rest conforms to the sequencing as the various builds flow down the line. Laborsmith |

Look at the numbering for the Sonic and the Verano built at the Orion Assembly Plant.
15,000+ seems right. The plant is now set up to build at least 140,000 units per year, of which I expect 90,000+ will be Chevrolets. Laborsmith In case anyone wonders what a three shift + overtime plant produces, look at Lordstown. |

I've always known VINs to begin at number 100001, not 000001.

5th gens started at 9100001 with there own Vin, now we are sharing a Vin, here is the number, 0115933 so if you take of the first 01 for the plant ID your left with 15933 cars built on the line, of that do you know where the Camaros start for sale, where the CF cars are and where the Cadillacs are? thats my point.

This VIN sequence starts with a 1, the 0 preceding the last six numbers indicates the unit was assembled at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant.
0 usually replaces the 1 etc. in the 1XXXXX sequences for Captured Test Fleet builds. Laborsmith |
