My understanding is they can mark the cars as hot which really just expedites shipping ad only makes a difference from rail yard to dealer. I could be wrong but that is my understanding

I have heard of it but have not been able to tell if it something that actually works, because as time goes by Builds are shipped. I would think it possible to extract SRE from TRE orders - everything is computerized after all.

But whether labeled hot or expedite a Build will not be dealer delivered until a known issue is resolved.

I think we are seeing enough early builds moving to conclude known issues are mostly resolved. This went on a lot longer than I thought it could.

I don't it really matters at this point...I just want to see another 4200, this time with rail info, I will be a happy camper then!

I didn't contact anyone to complain. I simply asked @GM for an update or that they should update us. Their Customer Service team reached out to me on Twitter to ask me for more info.

My dealer is the one who told me my car finally had movement today. The Chevy customer service gave me the same BS line...

As with most new launches, there is an extended quality assessment process that every car goes through in order to make certain the car is delivered with the highest quality standards. Unfortunately this will cause some delays in shipping. We understand the anticipation and want customers to get their hands on these great cars as soon as possible, but quality is the number one priority. We are doing everything in our power to get your 2016 Camaro to you as soon as possible.
So no... contacting Customer Service did not get my car moving faster. The update technically happened yesterday and the system updated today.

I spent about 20 minutes with Chevrolet Chat on-line. Her name was Melissa. She has to be on the Pacific time zone because of the time stamp on her answers. Anyway, I gave her my order number. She replied with my vin number and stated my vehicle is in transit. I said "what does that mean"? Does that mean it's being shipped. That it isn't parked somewhere in MI going through QA inspections. She said it has passed its quality inspection and is in transit to the dealership. She repeated that part that the QA was completed. Even though my status is still 4300 it gives me some hope. I'll check with my dealer on Thursday.

Interesting exchange:

------------------------------

Me: Thanks - can you tell me the current event code?

Christopher:3:24:31 PM

4000

Me:3:25:08 PM

4000? Are you sure?

Christopher:3:25:38 PM

Yes.

Me:3:26:15 PM

that's strange it was at 4200 and 4300 before...

Christopher:3:27:43 PM

Yes it was in transit and at 4200 and 4300 and transferred to the distribution center for quality inspection and now it is back at 4000 awaiting a carrier for transit to your selling dealership.

I think Melissa works in Detroit at the Renaissance Center. Her primary responsibility is Corvette and that experience should help here.

a dealer near me got an 2ss in today, I went there tonight and was able to sit in it and start it up. I loved it. The NPP is amazing, I can't wait to get mine. Even my 11 year old daughters mouth hit the ground when I started it and revved it up.

lead or anyone else that has revved up a new 2016 SS. I was foolish looking back and just have the standard exhuast, can you tell a major difference between the two or is the standard the mix between tour and track? Anyone know of aftermarket or if chevy can upgrade to the NPP later?

I have used NoWeeds.net electronic cut-out and recommend it for your purpose. It is a little pricey but is engineered to last. Plus you can easily go back to stock if you decide to change cars sometime in the future.
