I recall there were a number of renderings with round taillights on the web when the C7 was first unveiled. They looked so dated and out of place. That was about the time this piece was introduced, during the height of the "Camaro lights" outcry.
Once Stingrays started hitting the streets in quantity, that outcry quickly went silent. I am curious to know if anyone actually converted their C7 to old school round lights, and if so what the general reaction has been. I suspect zero conversions, and if any did happen, negative feedback all around. I for one feel the designers actually got this one right!

To say I thought the taillight design was "tired" 35 years ago, would be an understatement.
