Wondering if this is a good price.

So Im in the market for another vehicle and one ive come across is a 2010 Camaro SS Automatic. <39K miles on it. A few after market mods like CAI, Headers, Exhaust, etc. Theres also a tuner. Total for modded items is about $4500 supposedly. No original parts. His askin price is 20K, but with no receipts and no original parts. Whats more, my options are EXTREMELY limited because Im stationed overseas and purchasing a used performance vehicle that is US spec while over here can be troublesome due to availablility ( or lack thereof ). But beyond that, do you guys think this is a good price? If not, what IS a good price or counter offer?

I can't give you a good assessment unless I have more info on the model (i.e. 1SS, 2SS, etc.) In most instances, modifications DO NOT add to the value.

I bought my loaded 2010 2SS/RS for $19,995 (before tax, title, and added 2 year warranty) with 67k miles on August 24th of this year. I thought it was a great deal. Had an off brand cold air intake, bbk shorty headers, SLP loudmouth exhuast, and 3.73 gears on it already. No original parts or receipts either. Overall my options were limited. My previous car, 05 Nissan 350z, had its fair share of negative equity on it and my credit wasn't the best, I'm only 22. So getting approved for a car wasn't easy for me. But when I saw my camaro sitting there, made the 45 min trip down there and told him to make it happen. And he did. I've loved every minute of it since!

Depending on what aftermarket parts/brands he chose to have installed, it could have very well gotten close to $4k, especially if he didn't do labor himself. Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. But you may want to look for some sort of warranty just to be safe.

Seems like a good deal if you like the mods.

Bought mine in January for 21k, all option 2SS with 32k miles. It does have an accident on it though(low speed, nothing serious). If it's what you want and you can pay for it, I say go for it(assuming it's a 2SS/RS).

That's the question. 1SS, 2SS, RS there are substantial differences.

Bought my stock L99 auto with 90k miles but in great shape for $17500.
2SS/ RS with sunroof and the 21 inch black wheel option.
Not too crazy about the 21" wheels because of the tire prices, but the car is gorgeous.
