You had to really ask. I would jump on a CTS-V without a doubt.. There is a dealer on the caddy forums that is selling them for 7k off

I'll give you the same advice I give over on the Corvette Forum when someone asks if the should buy a Z06 over a base vette.

The advice is simple. If you can afford it NEVER EVER SETTLE. So if you have the $$ buy the V and enjoy what has to be one of the best American performance cars ever built that may not be with us much longer.

Buy the V

"Spend as much money as you possibly can" isn't exactly great advice. Just because you can afford it doesn't make it a good idea.

Umm... isn't the title of this forum "Chevy Camaro vs..." ????

Just because he has the means to buy it, doesn't mean he wants to spend that much more. I've considered the CTS-V as well. I am however, by no means a "rich" person (the V would be at the very top end of my budget), so I really have to weigh the benefits and features of the V vs the extra money I would save by buying the Camaro.

There is not a car in the world more 'worth the money' than the new CTS-V

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

CTS-V is a wonderful automobile. If you can afford it, buy it. I have driven everything we make EXCEPT the ZR1 and there are two cars that scare me when I put the right foot to the floor. The Z06 and the CTS-V. Blistering fast.

Of course the Coupe is coming...........................

I kind of agree and disagree with you. First of all I love all of them(Camaro , Cadillac and Vette) but I disagree with the comments about "there are many Cadillacs and vettes out there"

A Cadillac CTS-V stands like no other. A C6 Z06 stands out among any other vette, it is wider, bigger rubber, rims, brakes, scoops, fenders, spoilers, etc.

I think most of the people here wouldn't think twice chossing between the Cadillac and the Camaro. The Camaro is Bad a$$ but the Cadillac is bad a$$ x2.

A good question to ask yourself also is, how long will I keep this car? I say this because of all the 'the Camaro is one of a kind' or 'you don't see any Camaro's on the street' statements. In 6-9 months, they will be everywhere. Now that doesn't take away one bit from the great car it is. But I think its a pretty lame argument for choosing the Camaro. In a year, the V and Z06 will still be rarely seen. Not so for the Camaro.

All that said, on its own merits, still a fantastic car.

Almost forgot what we were talking about

Did you see DISKOTEKA's Avatar?????? Yowza....somewhere someone is tired of putting up with her SHI%.

Anyway, love the V, but there are so many awesome Vettes out there right now. I'd go second for the V personally.

I drive 50th Corvette, B on B and clean and ice cream run with a 99 Viper. But, FRICKIN' I can't wait for my Camaro. I'm going nuts. I have my exhaust system already, my tint guy waiting, my stripe guy waiting (stripes in hand). The CGM bonnet w/hockey stripes I ordered will be sold (U need some ? $199 when they arrive and they are yours)
