Yup they are all autos, no manuals. The MCT is an auto too but with wet clutches instead of a converter.
I'm looking at a softer tune with maybe a couple bolt-ons because the stock exhaust seems to sound the best honestly. I'd like to get over 500 at the motor and also some better mileage so I can drive further between stops. When this thing is paid off I hope GM sticks to their word and moves the Camaro to the lighter Alpha(?) platform. When the car first came out in 2006 in Australia they promised the next one would be lighter. Still dreaming they will make a raw, stripped version that also gets corvette like mileage so I can rationalize it lol. Thats why I like the Boss more than the GT500. |

c63 engine is basically a detuned SLS engine, so the 70whp is actually pretty feasible, and it's what all the other tuners (oetuning, eurocharged, kleeman, etc) give the car too. Although MHP doesn't have the greatest reputation.

Those new AMG hand built Twin Turbo V8's can propel even their large sedans into the 11's at 120+ by simply pressing and holding the go pedal down while the computers take care of the rest. I wouldn't tangle with a stock one unless you had some serious mods and forget about it and move along if its modded because they are dummy proof when it comes to putting down the power to take the win.

Headers are in the three grand range street price I believe.
They do have crazy stuff like 12k retail exhaust, you can get a online steal on at 7k lol. The twin turbos are definately something I would not mess with. If I wanted a drag car, I'd get the smallest car I could find with that guy in it. |

I think considering the ZL's average times down the track, this win belongs to the C63 easily.

It depends on the brand of headers. They use to be crazy expensive about 3 years ago but since then there are two companies compiting each other and the prices of the long tube headers with life time warranty went down to less than $2500. look for mbhmotorsports or Modernhorsepower and you will see the headers that I am talking about. You can never compare the prices with chevrolet cars because chevrolet cars are everywhere and they are mass produced(LS2, LS3, LS7, lS1, LS6 etc, etc).

C63's seem to actually be able to hit low 12's from their customers, despite weather conditions, humidity, number of passes made, position of the moon, and how the stars align. |

your average totally stock C63 runs 8.6 in the 1/8th at 87 mph at clarksville track. stock from bottom to top. my 96gt when it had a 5.4 3v killed one. lol.
