Went to Charles City for an All Corvette Car Show today.

Below are a couple of pics... Old School and New School.

The Black '69 Stingray got a much deserved Best of Show.

Sorry, but a picture just doesn't do it any justice. GORGEOUS car!

Our C7 was awarded 1st Place in the C7 Class.

Congratulations!

We went to a private cruise-in here in town yesterday, lots of Corvettes and muscle cars. Great party with DJ, lots to eat and drink with door prizes and awards. I came away with Best of Show, actually everyone there who registered their car got Best of Show. What the heck an award is an award.

Nothing personal NC C7....but that's our new way of doing things in America...Everyone is a winner and we don't strive to do our best.........sorry just had to rant, cause someone (maybe you) worked hard as hell to detail their car and another guy just drove thru the spray wash!

I agree that their are some shows where everyone gets an award. There are still a lot of shows where the cars are judged on individual merit. On Saturday we took our car to the UAW/GM All American Classic Car Show at the GM Tonawanda Engine plant. Approximately 300 vehicles representing almost every make and model American car from the past 60+ years were entered. They presented about thirty five awards for the best of each car make/class. We were fortunate to win the Chevy Sponsors Award for my wife's C7.
