2015 ZL1 New Owner 2G1FM1EP5F9801136

After years of saving and dreaming finally got one! Slight in town break-in before driving from SSI, Georgia to Columbus, Ohio and back to see my daughter. Was comfortable on highway and great fun through West Virginia Mountains. Received great compliments and stares along the way. Just a little scary on traction when caught in rain storm on highway. Dealer did leave spring blocks in as depicted in pic as well as leaving off valance panels. PDI obviously not done correctly. Learned about formentioned items before trip after reading post on this forum. Drove like a go-cart with them in. So a big thanks to all who posted! Return to dealer and they had no clue what I was talking about and advised me to leave valances off would block cooling ducts for brakes. Mechanic who did PDI also stated wouldn’t put them on if it were my car. Really!! I hit him with, “ Well it’s not your car and you have no clue what they do.” Good thing I brought along printed PDI from link on this forum. Sad to see from a dealer that size and selling cars for 20+ years. Part ordered having them put on with oil change next week. Wonder if they can do that right? Thanks again! Information here is invaluable....

When and if you take the car into that dealer for the oil change , make darn sure you are there , in front of the guy doing that service , just to make sure they put in the oil recommended by THE BOOK , the owners manual book
I'm sure that he will say ,,,,, this oil is head and shoulders above what the book says you know
Just tell him , listen , just follow WHAT THE DARN BOOK SAYS
Their better oil is just better for them ( cheaper )
And charge you or GM for the oil stated on THE BOOK !
Get it now ?

Thanks! It is a thrill every time I turn on the garage light and see it waiting for me to turn the key.
