enter home address into nav.

I would like to enter my home address into the nav so that wherever I am, I can just tell the nav to Navigate home and this way it will get me started on the correct route. I have tried numerous times but it does not seem to lock it in. Can someone help?

Thank you in advance.

I don't know if these systems do that or have that. I have it on my Acura TL Type S, but I have not seen how to do it on the Corvette.

You can save your home address as a Favorite (Infotainment System Manual, page 46) and then rename the Favorite as Home (Infotainment System Manual, page 68). Now when you press the Home favorite, it brings up the Nav directions.

I'd rather say to the Nav System "Go Home" and it calculates.......

I've always considered saving your home address in the Nav to be a bad idea.

Consider this: a thief steals your AMG, M-car, CTS-V, Corvette, whatever. He thinks its a nice car so this guy must have nice stuff. Thief follows Nav directions home. Opens your garage door with your Homelink and has his way with your belongings. Bad idea.

My garage has over 100K in tools, 2 Ducatis, a Triumph, a rare Suzuki 2 stroke racebike, lawn equipment, etc. My house... has equally valuable goodies if he can get past my German Shepherds. Home address saved in my car = BAD IDEA

I agree with Silversled. Phone book info doesn't stay in the car but nav keeps it in the car. What I do is use a specific address when I am going somewhere, like a party, but then to return just enter "Lake Bluff" (my town) and when it gets me back to roads I recognize, I turn it off. --Bob

Here are some thoughts - First you can identify an address as Home when you save in the Nav system. If you are worried about your specific home address, use the closest store, school, etc. something that is close to your home that the Nav would not take you out of your way.

I would never put my home address into any GPS. I've always used the local Sheriff's Office for my home address.

I agree that "HOME" is a bad idea - but you could always disguise it by putting it in a different language or term...
but Nav History may rat you out anyway; a nearby landmark seems to be a better idea.

I live near a police station and that is the address that I have saved as home....same address that I meet people at when I sell things.
