Exclamation OH NO, Where is the hand brake?

Coming from the C5 I'm really going to miss it! Almost every car I have ever had had a hand brake. My first, a dune buggy had 2 ! (Left & right). Anybody else have a problem with this change?

We are now in a very technological era. Believe it or not, one day, cars will be sold without a steering wheel. Instead it will be with some other gadget.

you get used to it pretty quickly. For the amount of space freed up in the console area to the 'idiot-proof' aspect (automatic release if someone puts it in gear and then starts driving off) I can certainly see the design appeal. I've had it on several rental cars and it's just fine from a functional standpoint though.

Ya, great until you want to slide the rear into a parking spot!

The first car I have owned with an eParking Brake is my XTS. It takes a bit to get used to, but it works exceptionally well. I recently got back from driving and parking on some of the steepest roads I have been on (with the exception of off roading in my Land Rover) and the eBrake was superb. When you activate it and take your foot off the brake, the car exhibited zero roll regardless of the steep grades.

Non-issue. The switch takes up less console space than the stupid parking brake handle.

Parking brake handles (lever) went the way of 3 speed transmissions with steering column shifters, hand crank starters, fiberglass belted bias tires, tape and CD players and, last but not least, round Corvette tail lights.

I wonder how horrible round tail lights would work with the vents. Then again thankfully they dropped pop-up headlights.

Hey I'm in Vegas too, do you have a C7 on order from anyone around here?

Handbrakes anyone?

Haven't any of you ever really DRIVEN a car...? Taillights...? I thought we were talking about Hand Brakes. That thing you pull when you want to throw the tail of a car around a cone on an autocross course. And then there is drifting, I'm sure Chevrolet wouldn't approve of that though.

Taillights... Really?

P.S. I liked the electric brake on my backhoe!

Hand brakes are the bomb!

Hey, I'm new here... What are these things for ... Oh Ya...
Me here, some one on here must still play with cars! Get on an autocross course, take a driving school. Hey there is a good one right in Pahrump, foe you Vegas Residents.
My console ends up collecting receipts, and change, (junk) I never had any fun with my console! When I'm driving I could care less about my tail light shape. please
