light under the hood and also a light in the glove box?

Not sure if this is the right place. I was wondering if we finally have a light under the hood and also a light in the glove box? Compared to the 5th Gen which did not have either of them(at least my 2011 2SS/RS does not).

No light under the hood for sure.
Glove box, I'll have to check.

Geez. For the money we pay, at least have a light in the glove box.

I really like the light in the trunk, illuminating the space where the folding top goes. With the vertical partition in place (as it will be 100% of the time for this car), the usable part of my trunk is completely dark. It doesn't bother me, but I do find it funny.

Very much not relevant but I find the topic of your post very humorous - labeling a post in Camaro6.com "6th Gen Owners" is just barely more specific than "Hey people who drive cars" or "if you breathe oxygen, question"

I would rather have an interior dome light in the 6th gen. I need to use a small flashlight to buckle my kids in the back seat at night.

What's the point of a glove box/underhood light, they've gone the way of the ash tray and cigarette lighter.

Besides, this car isn't upscale enough to warrant a glove box light, regardless of the price spent

With heated/vented seats, memory seats, NAV, BOSE system, heated steering wheel, blind spot, CrossTraffic warning etc. I think it is upscale enough that I bought one instead of a Corvette that does not offer Blind Spot, CrossTraffic etc. I think GM did a wonderful job upgrading the Gen6 Camaro to a higher status car.

First the glove box is not deep. It's not like you're going to be hunting around in some dark abyss in your glove box. You can see the back of it from the drivers seat while sitting with your seat belt on. The map lights for what they're worth can illuminate it at least partially. If you need any more help just ask the cop to shine his flashlight your way.

Under hood light would come in handy though. A few well positioned fiber optic cables running along the hood would be very functional and you could remote mount the led light source somewhere cooler and not worry about the under hood temps hurting the fiber optics.

A light in the glovebox and under the hood would just add way to much additional weight.

I'm thinking of adding a rear seat dome light, and a hood light sounds very logical too. Even in the middle of a summer day with the sun bright as can be looking under the hood can still be pretty dark.

I have no need for a glovebox light since I never use it. My Passport 9500x has saved me from that

Those are nice things to have, for sure. I think my 2SS is pretty much fully loaded with things that really matter to me. I haven't missed the lights so I guess they don't matter much to me.

This will take care of the glove box and under the hood. http://camarocollection.com/camaro-d...lashlight.html
