Lightweight driving shoe?

Can anyone recommend a nice lightweight driving shoe with breathability? I wear flip flops here in Florida most of the time and end up driving barefoot fairly often which needs to stop.

Thanks!
Max

I have a great set of Puma driving shoes that are very breathable. They have a ton of mesh. Problem is I don't remember the name of them. I will check when I get home.

I assume you're talking daily driving shoes, but if not, these are light weight and breathable.

I use the Vibram 5 Finger shoes.
Don't laugh, I'm serious- they are minimalist, super lightweight, and maybe only 1/4" thick.
I can really feel the vibrations thru the pedals now.
I know they make several versions, but the Trail Running shoes have the thickest & stiffest soles.
With these you can really do some Heal-Toe driving. (rimshot!_)

I got a pair of cole han shoes at an outlet mall for about $100. They are light and have Nike soles so they are comfortable to walk in also for long days.

What are the benefit of a driving shoe? As a football and basketball guy, I get the benefit of the right shoe, but for the life of me can not grasp the need for a dedicated driving shoe over a good sport shoe in a normal car. I can understand that a wide shoe in the narrow foot well of a race car could be a problem, but in a street car...kind of drawing a bank!
