Well, I took delivery of this beast over the weekend and let me tell you - absolutely worth the wait.

A 2000 Camaro Z28 was my first car, and then I had a couple of Corvettes, so this has been somewhat of a full-circle type of thing haha. I was sad to see my Corvette go, and was apprehensive about making that choice to begin with - but let me tell you - this ZL1 1LE is on a different level. The suspension that people love or hate makes the car - it's amazing. It's like being on a rollercoaster in the best possible way. The ride is visceral, the engine is crazy, the exhaust sounds are something else. I've never seen a car consume gas like this LOL, so I'm grateful that I have an SUV for daily use (otherwise it's very likely I'd be looking my finances to determine if I can lease one).

Anyway, good luck to those still waiting - these Camaros are worth the wait. I'm very happy with my decision to make the switch (I still love Corvettes, don't get me wrong. I'd probably have one of each if I could!). Thanks to all of you for helping me bear the long wait!

Congrats on finally getting it! I told you it would be worth the wait!! LOL on the gas comment, I think my 1LE must have a hole in the gas tank as she is very very thirsty too. Enjoy!

My son is coming home Saturday to get married next week... otherwise I would have been there. The following weekend my middle girl is having her graduation open house. My oldest daughter and grandson come in this Saturday also. My son-in-law unfortunately has Army training in AZ.

So I am hoping for next year. I will be there in spirit though.

Bought my house in 2000. No major upgrades since. Needed a change. Just got my flooring done. I will install the trim over the next couple days. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel....
