What is with these pricing gimmicks?

In the market for a 1LE and of course the best advertised deals are outside of my state (NY) until they tack on the BS "fees"
Is it common around the country to take out the $995 destination, negotiate the price and try to tack it back on as a fee?
One dealer wanted the 995 destination plus a 600 dealer fee and then another 200 for nitrogen in the tires. (All of which immediately turned me off)
Destination is part of MSRP pricing and part of invoice pricing.
I've never seen this tactic in NY. Of course the OTD pricing is really what we should be comparing regardless of what we call any charge.
BTW, does anyone think the incentives will increase soon even for 2018 since ford has announced a higher HP for 2018.
(I despise fords, but it is all about marketing)
If anyone has gotten a great straight up deal please let us know!
Thanks!

Big discounts (20 -25% range) usually come around the holidays Nov/Dec.

It was around September last year when they really started discounting the 16's. My buddy got s 2ss a8 npp with black rims and a stripe for under $35k.

Congrats and enjoy it! White is a classic and the rims and hood wrap really stand out.

Was this OTD?
Does it have PDR?
Where are you located?

Thank you.

That was not OTD, unfortunately. That was the price before T&T.

I could not find an 18 for under 42xxx(most were at 43) so just decided to save a little and go with this one.

No PDR. I am in houston but the car was in Austin(just got home).

I absolutely love it.

Yes, please give us more details of the 38k deal!
I wanted 39k with PDR plus tax and DMV.
Either way you killed it unless they threw in the bogus fees.

Koons in Virginia does this. Tried playing games with me on pricing. I ended talks. I'm not the only one who's had issues with them.

Mity, I was almost willing to go for this one below:

http://www.lindsaychevrolet.com/new/...960e16eabb.htm

That is closer to you

My deal did have conquest built in as I traded in my 15 GT(got a fair value)

I was stuck on white or blue. Could not find a blue anywhere close to Texas.

Someone linked a blue one in IL but they wouldn't budge off 41.

I'm about 10 miles from Koons. I went to see a 1LE a few days ago. It's a beautiful car but they wasted my time. On the written offer, they pull the $995 destination out and have $599 processing fees. They attempt to ignore talking about or acknowledging these fees when discussing vehicle price even when giving OTD offers.

I ended talks after trade in appraisal on my 14 1LE. They tried offering several thousands under my cars trade in value to get me to haggle up from a lowball. I came with a written offer from a Chevy dealer to purchase an identical 1LE and the salesman (Gessin) wouldn't look at it and continued talking. I tried to show my blackbook trade in appraisal from the Chevy website and he ignored it. Wouldn't look at my phone. He ignored everything (text/spoken/written offers) that wasn't to his advantage. I texted him pictures of my car with details (year/make/model/mileage/features) before bringing it in for this appraisal. He texted me back a few days later asking if i was bringing my Mustang in for a trade in appraisal. I text him back saying "I don't have a Mustang anymore. I drove it off a cliff. But i could probably find time to stop by in my Camaro."

I wasn't impressed and they play games. I'll gladly make a road trip out of buying my 1LE elsewhere.
