True audiophile right there. Knocking on someone else's choice, especially when it's being implied that they don't care. AND you mentioned Bose. Lol wait what?

I bought a pair of the Bose 20I for the plane. They are so good now they are the only phones I use.

Shure makes some of the best stuff! We used to use them in the studio. I got to try out a set of 315 ear monitors and will be ordering me a set! It's astounding they are ear buds and produce that quality of sound and still block out so much!

I believe the only sound cancelling headphones by Beats are the Excutive model. I could be mistaken as I did not have much interest in the brand until these came out. They come in black or silver only. I have tried Bose and was not to impressed with them. Bose is not what it used to be, but what company is anymore. While they do work well I will be buying the Excutive Beats in a week or two.

What? I don't care what phones he uses... I simply stated that anyone who uses the stock Apple ones doesn't have sound quality as a top priority, and sure enough he doesn't. That's fine with me...

Been using these for a year, great sound and durability.

Very good bang for the buck.

I've just got the cheap $10 Sony ear bud style. I need them to be portable and always in my bag, so small is good. I have no complaints for what I do with them which is mostly listen to background music when I have to work or study in a busy area or just the occasional netflix movie while killing time.

beats are a joke. For the same price, you can get headphones that actually sound good. But I guess for some people it's more about the appearance. They're probably also the same folks that use the term 'swag' in normal conversation like that somehow gives you status.

At work, I use these to listen to music and also hear when someone walks up behind me:

Aftershokz Sportz (I actually have the first generation...)

For what they are, the audio quality is really quite good. The only downside that I see is that I have to charge them once every other day for a couple hours...

I bought my wife a set of Bose last year for Christmas. I went to multiple stores and tried all the "big brands" first hand, and felt the sound quality, noise cancelling ability, and the comfort were overall the best. Not the "coolest looking" but they do exactly what we wanted, and we are very happy with them.
