No, they have just prevented AIDS. HIV can evolve into AIDS, although over the last 10 years, as bad as HIV is, it has evolved from a death sentence disease to much calmer. The medicine is very expensive and you have to take quite a few pills but many HIV patients live normal lives.

Exactly. The pre-natal antibiotics/medications prevent the HIV virus from spreading to the fetus during pregnancy.

Interesting... I had never thought about a child being born with it. I see where the window is very short where this cure will work. Hopefully they can extend that and cure adults as well.

Probably about 3-4 inches of snow on the ground right now. Going out to drive in it for the hell of it.
