Evidently GM just photoshopped that teaser photo to make it dark.

How could the public possibly know ahead of time if there are going to be surprise reveals? If its announced or is leaked, its no longer a surprise.

Call it whatever you like, but when you announce something is being revealed ahead of time its no longer a surprise.

Lets say your birthday is coming up. A friend of your says 'hey, come over to my place Friday at 8 we're throwing you a surprise party' ... well, its no longer a surprise party because they told you about it & therefore you are no longer surprised when it happens.

GM says it sold a record 948,909 pickups in the U.S. in 2017, and its average transaction price growth is outperforming the segment. The average transaction prices for its full-size trucks in December ranged from $42,340 for the Silverado to $53,170 for the Sierra. The industry average was roughly $47,500.
For the "Why doesn't GM just get rid of GMC when they have Chevy" crowd.

The plant that built the I-6 in my Envoy will also be building GM's newest I-6.

3.0L Duramax production at Flint Engine Operations.

$11,000 extra per truck multiplied by 218,000 Sierras in 2017 equals ...

a smidge less than 2.4 BILLION dollars in extra revenue.

That’s assuming if they dropped GMC they would just buy $42k silverados rather than a high country/loaded ltz.
