Hopefully they sell it at a salvage auction rather than some poor unsuspecting bastard as "NEW".

I used to consult with automotive dealers back in the mid 90’s. I was at a dealer in Ohio when a car pulled into their driveway hit a patch of ice and sideswiped two new Explorers. Two days later one of the salesmen got his foot stuck between the gas and brake pedals, hit two new cars and knocked another off of the metal stand out front onto another car. All of this took place while the dealer principle was at the Super Bowl. Not a good week.

This happened at the dealership where I ordered my C7 from. I ran into a salesman that works there today (Tuesday, 19 Nov), and he said the car suffered $27,000 damage. Also, he said, it happened because the saleswoman who caused it was unfamiliar with a stick shift.....appearently the was in 2nd gear, she pushed the clutch in, started the car, then took her foot off the clutch........Bang, crash!!! He stated it was like a bomb had gone off in the showroom.

And the kicker is, a buyer was just about the sign a check for the 'vette......he had pen in hand and was just about to sign it when it was "specially delivered" in memorable style!

Considering the cost of the special edition C7, what it will cost to repair it, and what money it will be to repair the showroom; not a profitable day for this dealership

In reference to my above post I want to state clearly that this is what was told to me by someone who says he was there when it happened. I personally cannot vouch how truthful it is or isn't as I am relaying it to you guys as second hand knowledge.

I keep hearing about these special edition C7's. Forgive me, but what is so special about them other than an early VIN?

They are all optioned out and have a special poop brown suade interior lol. My dealer tried to get me to purchase one instead of ordering. I considered it until I sat in one. Not a good color combo IMO, but to each there own.

It's the Premier Edition, special 500 vehicle run just to kick off the C7. Optioned out and goes for 74k or so.
