It took 2 1/2 months to say Hi, but here it is. Hi! After an 18 year
absense from having a car that is fun to drive, I'm back. I had to quit smoking
to get my '13 SS. If you do the math, 1 pack a day = SS, 2 packs = SS, 3 packs
= ZL1. I was only a pack a day. Anyway, the journey started with a
'72 Chevelle 350cid 2 barrel with 4 speed, buckets, brown paint with beige vinyl
roof. Pure family car except for the tranny, go figure. I customized it with a
magenta candy apple with a gold base paint job (18 coats total), Holley 600 cfm
4 barrel, Edelbrock Streetmaster manifold, Lakewood ladder bars, Cragar S/S
mags, Hooker headers, Hurst shifter, et al. Then came my '79 Z28, 350 cid, 4
speed, 3.73 posi. This car I kept stock for 15 years except for the cam I had
to swap out.The purpose of the SS is to start with a blank slate and
customize it my way. Somethings will need to wait for the warranty to run out.
When I picked up my car, I was introduced to camaro5 by the service manager. I
envisioned this to be a great source of ideas and help. So far, reading the
forums, my impression is correct.<tw, Glider1 was my vanity plate for
my '79 Z28 because Glider was already taken. And no, I do not fly gliders.

I am enjoying it only now since the mods. When stock i thought the car was lazy. Now with mods headers cai and jannetty tune it feels snappy

seems like its never enough.....this is my first real muscle car.....it was fast enough for me at the start just a CAI and lopped off those cans under the rear ......and now I can't wait for headers and a tune now that the warranty is up....lol
