Hello and to answer your question i have owned 3 corvettes. My first corvette was a 1998 Silver coupe auto hated it. Then i bought a 2001 Z06 black on black. I had the motor worked on by the VETTE DOCTORS OF AMITYVILLE LONG ISLAND.THEY DID HEADS CAM AND HEADERS. THE CAR WAS TOTALLY AWESOME 460 TO THE CRANK AND 390 FTLBS OF TORQUE. THEN I TRADED IN MY Z06 FOR A 2009 LT3 VETTE BLACK ON BLACK. NOW I HAVE NO VETTE BUT WILL BE GETTING A C7 SOON

Ditto. And also at a minimum, need to see/assess GM's pricing on these dynolicious & butt-olicious options... Z51 + Competition seats... add in Mag Ride + NPP exhaust... I wouldn't be surprised if it easily breaches 70K esp. in 2LT or 3LT configuration.

Is it ridiculous to hope that the C7 will be cheaper than the outgoing C6?
(just like 1997, when the C5 was cheaper than the outgoing C4).

Probably wishful thinking, but even if not it's still tops on bang for the buck.

I'm hoping that's around 59-64K. (53-55K for 2LT, 3-6K for Z51, Mag Ride 2K tops, Comp. Seats 1K?)

And I don't think they'll be able to price this model lower than the C6, but keeping a model under 50K seems like an awesome advertising tool so who knows. It wouldn't even be bad for GM to cut a bit of profit, with this being a flagship, low-volume car, getting people in the door is more important than the sale. If one family member loves the Corvette, (s)he's going to recommend Chevy to others which increases sales of lower models.

Current 2013 C6 price price list inc. options can be seen here: http://www.zorly.com/speed-wars/2013...ker-vs-invoice

I believe the approximate starting is in the 53-54k range for the base 1LT... add the higher trim level, juicy options and Dest Fee afterwards... we may be in for some $ticker $hock.

As for those Competition Seats... highly doubt it's just 1K. Heck the Recaros on 5.0 GT's are $1595... and those Comp Seats have carbon fiber + magnesium. Expect a premium.

I wonder when they'll have a full-fledged configurator up on the website. Hmm...

Can't wait to get in to one of these. Have my deposit ready for the first dealership that tells me they will have them.

If you pick a big dealer that sold plenty of Corvettes, they'll likely be getting C7 allocations early. I got my deposit ready too, just gotta find time to get to dealer.

You decide on a color yet?
