Owning SSes for 50 Years

This thread sounds a lot like the 2014 Corvette threads on Corvetteforum. Everyone criticized the new Corvette until they released the performance numbers. Now, it's a totally different story. I'm sure, once the performance factors are released, all will see the Z28 Camaro as a great bargain...they'll have no trouble selling all they can build...IMO.

The LSA wasn't released for the ZL1, it was already in the CTS-V. |

At over $80,000 for a little more I can get a M5 or GTR or a 2013 z06
I'm guessing between $59,995 & $64,995 They would not get many buyers at anything over that. This car is cool but it still has hardly any comfort features, a cheep interior and its old tech, at least the motor. The camaro is a younger mans car. With the new C7 its going to be hard to order a Z/28 for all but the most serious track guys. It all depends if they are shooting for super limited production or a new model to the camaro line. Chevy is a business they want to sell cars, sell 1500 cars for 85k or sell 5000 cars a year for 62k? |

But what if they "can't" build 5000? Sadly, with the content changes combined with the "necessary" low volume, a higher-than-desired MSRP is the result.
Remember the development co$t$ MUST be covered...by "X" volume... If it was possible to raise the volume to "2X", the resulting MSRP would only drop by a very few $1,000, NOT 10s of $1,000s. Keep in mind, too, this version sets the stage for the Gen-6 Z/28 and its undoubted performance improvements (!!) Built and available earlier in that Generation's lifecycle, we'll see enhanced performance AND a more moderate price point...and I can't wait for THAT one...lighter, better weight-to-power, and even more nimble. |

i dont care what the LSA was initially released for, the point is that when it was released for the Camaro, the reception from US (The Camaro Community) was more thrilled than the LS7.. |
