I thought the rollout was embarrassing before this. Glad I cancelled. This launch is incomplete/rushed.

Apparently, they chose to milk the Impala for short-term profits, by making it more utilitarian and feeding it to the fleet sharks.

Unfortunately, as you mentioned, by the time they attempted reverse course, the damage was done.

I absolutely love my 2019 Impala 1LT in Dark Titanium leather and Blue Velvet Metallic with a more than ample V6. Maybe someday this final generation will become collectible.
Very good............great choice. This happens to be my favorite Impala model, the '68. Alas, it saddens me that we may never see this kind of automotive grace again. The very last of automotive greatness is set to expire early next year.

Equinox EV to start at $35k instead of $30k, but with 320 miles range instead of 250.

GM's "announced roll-out plans" and pricing are a meaningless joke. All subject to change and likely higher prices. The lowest priced is again the last to be produced (no big surprise). Two years from now no-one will remember this big announcement.

GM-Speak low price never happens.

I mean GM initially said Canyon would start around $40k and it ended up being a few thousand less.

So $35K (if they can get there) is still a decent price. But what's with this launch price of over $48K for a front wheel drive 2RS? $52K for the AWD version? Yikes. Does gm know that I can buy a near loaded RS AWD ICE Equinox for roughly 15 grand less than that that AWD EV version?

They missed the mark badly on the Blazer EV as well which is why I (and countless others) cancelled our reservations. GM is about to see the same on the Equinox I bet if they want 50k on the initial offerings.

The ICE Equinox should be able to get roughly 30mpg better or worse depending on who's driving and where. At current gas prices around the country, a person could drive somewhere between 100,000 to 125,000 miles before they make up that difference in cost in gas alone (not factoring changes for oil changes and what not, that that's minimal as well)
